Helpfull Hints and Tips 1.

This tip is courtesy of a colleague of mine. The residence that i live in doesn't have an airing cupboard and is not the warmest of places. This means that proving my dough is tricky and can take a lot longer than it should do.If i am baking more than one thing and have to put the oven on i will put the first item in the main oven then stick the dough in the small side oven. This usually provides just enough warmth but still takes a while to rise.
Whilst having a conversation about this my colleague Amanda said that she also doesn't have an airing cupboard so she sticks her gas fire on and leaves the dough nearby.I have a gas fire in my living room so i put my dough on a chair near to it.It worked a treat. Thanks Amanda.
One word of warning though.Don't put it too close or you will end up cooking rather than proving the dough.
