Going On Holiday

I know that the title of the post says 'Going On Holiday' but that isn't strictly true.Due to the nature of where i live(A non-residential holiday park), i have to vacate my place for a month. This means that i have to find somewhere to else to stay for 4 weeks. Some people don't like this but it is a small price to pay for living in what i reckon is a lovely place(I look over 2 lakes when i stand on my decking).I therefore basically treat it as a holiday.I won't have access to a computer, hence no blogging for the 4 Weeks,in fact none of the distractions that are associated with everyday living at home.Instead i will be getting some use out of my DS.'Professor Layton and the Lost Future' will know doubt be keeping my brain exercised. To keep my cooking mind going though,Mrs Monday Baker found 'What's Cooking?-Jamie Oliver' sitting on the shelf, which i forgot i had brought.Happy Days!.

I also use the time to do a lot of reading as well.In fact i picked up a copy of 'Humble Pie',Gordon Ramsay's autobiography for 49p in a charity shop the other day.I will review it on here when i get back.
On the same visit i also picked up a copy of 'Jamies Dinners' by Jamie Oliver. This will be going with me as will the 'Campervan Coast ' Cookbook by Martin Dorey. That last one will be pretty useful as it has lots of recipes that you can do in a campervan, which will be a similar situation to where we are staying. We will be basically cooking with 2 rings.Although there is a microwave as well.

What this all means as well is that i won't be able to do any baking for 4 weeks.Mrs Monday Baker reckons i will be suffering withdrawal symptoms. She is probably correct,as she always is.
We are taking our new bread machine that the outlaws brought us so,we will be able to have fresh homemade bread, and not have to live off the processed rubbish that passes for fresh in shops these days(It's funny how when we were away a few months back for a week,we had a fresh loaf that we had left in the bread bin and it was still fine. That wouldn't have happened if it had been a shop bought loaf.We would have come back to a green, furry loaf).

Anyway i will end here and just say see you in 4 weeks time.
                                                                                                 Mr Monday Baker
