It was still edible though and i think it went down reasonably well.

Attempting To Impress My Step-Daughter With My Jewish Honey Cake
I visited my step-daughter and her family at the weekend. When she came to visit us she brought up a big chocolate cake she had made.I told her it wasn't bad(Lol) and vowed to make a cake to impress her with the next time we visited.I had to make it in advance and also because our journey would be over 2 hours and the temperature was hitting the late 20's i realised i could not make a chocolate cake.So i decided to make the Jewish Honey cake again(See,'The Great British Bake Off Challenge 6-Jewish Honey Cake).
It turned out not too bad although it proved a bit difficult to get out of the pan and i managed to lose a small corner of it(It must have known that i was trying to impress so wanted it to be as perfect as possible). This time around it also seemed a bit dry and tasted more of coffee than honey.
It was still edible though and i think it went down reasonably well.
