If the title of this blog post seems a bit odd let me explain. My birthday is 3 days before Christmas so it all kind of rolls into one, especially where presents are concerned. When i get asked what i have received i can't always remember whether i got certain things for my birthday or for Christmas.
Obviously this year,as i have just started getting into baking and cooking,i received a few related presents.
Jamie Oliver's '15 Minute Meals' cookbook.
'The Camper Van Coast' by Martin Dorey.A guide to cooking, eating and living the life. This is the follow up to 'The Camper Van Cookbook' which inspired his BBC TV series 'One Man And His Camper Van.
Chocolate Spoon Moulds. These are silicone moulds in the shape of spoons. You make them with chocolate then put them on your table for guests to eat their pudding with. They can then eat the spoons after finishing their puddings, providing an extra treat.
'Bread'-100 everyday recipes.Exactly as the title says.I cant wait to try a few of these bread recipes out.
Terracotta Mediterranean Herb Set.This contains 3 sachets of seeds(Chives,Basil and Parsley),3 terracotta pots and a terracotta drip tray. This will enable me to grow some herbs indoors, which hopefully will give me a steady supply. As i am sure anybody who has gone out to buy herbs for a recipe will tell you it can be an expensive business, especially when you tend to only need a few sprigs or leaves.
Not a bad set of presents that is for certain, especially the 'Canper Van Coast' book.I hardly put it down when i got it(As anybody who tried to get my attention will testify).
