I went away to the outlaws for Christmas so we decided not to take our main presents with us.(Not that we could have fitted them in the car anyway).Circumstances after we returned meant that we didn't open our main presents till yesterday. And boy had Santa been busy.
He delivered me a Quarter Pounder burger maker. This is a little plastic gizmo where you put your burger mix in,level it off then press out.
He also brought me a Pasta machine.I have had a go at making fresh pasta before using some pasta flour i picked up cheaply. It turned out okay but trying to roll it out to a thin enough size, then cut it into small strips was very difficult, and time consuming. This pasta machine says it creates 3 types,Fettuccine,Lasagna sheets and Tagliatelle.I am looking forward to trying it out.Although i am sure there will be some cursing whilst i attempt to get to grips with it.
My final present was a ceramic bread maker. This says it is ideal for baking breads such as Foccacia and Ciabatta. It also looks as though it may be big enough in height to bake other types of round loaves in it.This will be good as i find if i just bake round loaves on a baking tray they expand and look more flat than round.
Anyway thanks to Santa(aka Mrs Monday Baker)for fantastic presents.
The Monday Baker
