Mrs Monday Baker was not feeling well today so our plans for the day were slightly changed. This meant that we were at home instead of our planned trip out so i decided to make the most of the opportunity and do some baking.
I had another go at making the Traditional Farmhouse Loaf(See earlier post). And because i had some apples kicking around i decided to have a go at making some Apple and Cheese rolls.Mrs Monday Baker likes cheese rolls so i thought i would make some to cheer her up.
The Traditional Farmhouse Loaf turned out as good as the previous one. This time though i hope to keep the nice crust by storing it in a different bag.Last time i stored it in an old shop brought bread bag and it seemed to lose it's nice crust after a day. This time i am storing it in a crinkly bag similar to the ones that fresh baked shop loaves come in.

The Cheese and Apple rolls were another kettle of fish altogether. They were ok after the first rising.I then cut the dough into small pieces and rolled them into balls before placing them on a well oiled baking tray and leaving to rise. They rose quite large,in fact they began to stick together,so i separated them then put them in the oven to bake.At this point they started to collapse a bit. They did cook alright though and actually had a nice crispy top. They just looked a bit like flatbreads.
