When Mrs Monday Baker came home she took over the second stage.This involves briefly kneading them again before rolling them out to the required size.
So far you are probably thinking this is the same as i always do.Well you would be right but this is where it differs.Having rolled the dough out to the required size you place it on your trays that you are going to cook the pizzas on.You then push up the edges all around before covering and leaving to rise for 10 minutes or so.After they have risen you just top your pizza as normal and cook.
They turned out really well as usual but with a nice little crusty edge as an added extra.
This was also the first time we used some of our own gown herbs as we garnished it with some coriander.
175g plain flour.
1 tsp salt.
1 tsp dried yeast.
1 tbsp olive oil.
6 tbsp lukewarm water.
Above ingredients make one small pizza dough.
Pizza Topping Ingredients
Tomato puree.
55g Mozzarella Cheese.
These are the 2 basic toppings all other toppings are up to your personal taste.
Recipe
1.Sift the flour and salt together into a bowl.
2.Stir in the yeast.
3.Make a well in the centre and pour in the olive oil and the water.
4.Stir well until the dough begins to come together.
5.Knead with your hands until all the dough leaves the side of your bowl.
6.Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead for at least 10 minutes,until smooth and elastic.
7.Shape the dough into a bowl,place in a bowl and leave to rise till it has doubled in size.
8.Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and briefly knead again.
9.Roll the dough out to the required size.
10.Place on your tray that you are going to cook your pizza on.
11.Push up the edge slightly all round.
12.Cover and leave to rise again for about 10 minutes or so.
13.Preheat your oven to 200 degrees c/400 degrees f/gas mark 6.
14.Spread the tomato puree over your base.
15.Add the Mozzarella cheese.
16. Add your own favourite toppings.
17.Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the crust is crispy and golden brown.
