Making Some Homemade Strawberryade

I am a subscriber to a magazine called 'The Simple Things'.It is a magazine that covers interiors,gardening,travel,wellbeing,food etc.Its strap line is 'Living and loving the simple life'.
Every issue features  foodie articles and recipes.The recipes are usually along a theme eg,Mexican,french etc.
The back page of the magazine has an article called 'Five ways with...'.Junes issue featured 5 ways with strawberries and featured a recipe for making fresh strawberryade.It proved to be fairly easy to make and went down a treat.At the end of the recipe it said be sure to swill it down in 2 days but it didn't even last a day as we all enjoyed it immensely.


Srawberryade Ingredients

250g strawberries.
3 lemons.
75g caster sugar.

Strawberryade Recipe

1.Hull 250 grams  of fresh strawberries.
2.Crush the hulled strawberries in a bowl.
3.Add the juice of 3 lemons.
4.Add 75g of caster sugar.
5.Pour on 750 ml of boiling water.
6.Stir all this together.
7.Leave to cool before transferring to the fridge.
8.Leave in the fridge overnight.
9.Strain through a sieve.
10.Pour into a bottle and place in the fridge to chill.
11.Serve with ice or water,diluting to taste.
