Wholemeal Baps

I decide to knock up some wholemeal baps. Not for any particular reason,i was just sat at home wondering what i could bake.As you will know if you have read my other posts making rolls or baps is something i cannot seem to master so i was not expecting much from the end result.
I took the basic recipe from Mrs Monday Bakers bread machine recipe book, adapting it to suit my needs.

Ingredients

225g wholemeal flour.
225g white bread flour.
1 1/2 tsp salt.
2 tsp caster sugar.
1 tsp easy bake yeast.
140ml milk.
140ml water.

Recipe

1.Add the wholemeal flour to the mixing bowl.
2.Add the white flour to the mixing bowl.
3.Add the salt to the mixing bowl.
4.Add the caster to the mixing bowl.
5.Add the yeast to the mixing bowl.
6.Stir the above ingredients in.
7.Make a well in the centre of the bowl and add the milk and then the water to the bowl.
8.Combine the ingredients until the flour is mixed completely with the water and milk.
9.Lightly flour your work surface and turn your dough onto it.
10.Knead for at least 10 minutes until your dough is smooth and elastic.
11.Place in a bowl and cover with clingfilm.
12.Leave in a warm place to rise for at least one hour.
13.Remove from your bowl and knock back your dough.
14.Lightly oil a baking tray.
15.Cut your dough into equal sized portions and roll into balls.
16.Place on your oiled tray, cover and leave to prove for at least an hour, until the  balls have doubled in size.
17.Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees c.
18.When your rolls have doubled in size place in your oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.
19.When they are cooked remove from the baking tray and leave to cool.

Normally when i am trying to get anything to rise my place is not warm enough. This was happening again  but i found a solution which i will detail in another post.Consequently my baps turned out like baps and not flattened rolls.
